    •    Guest reactions while the main shooter focuses on the couple
    •    Environmental and detail shots happening simultaneously

3. Backup & risk reduction
Weddings are unrepeatable.
    •    Equipment backup
    •    A safety net if something unexpected happens
    •    Peace of mind for both photographer and couple

Not your typical 2025 recap—but one that feels honest.

From the time I’ve spent with my couples this year, one thing stands out: 2025 was full of life. It held both joy and grief, often side by side. Some of you got married and experienced a day you’ll remember forever. Some of you walked through loss. Some faced change, uncertainty, or new beginnings. Wherever this year met you, you didn’t walk through it alone.

I wish I could simply share beautiful images and say, Happy New Year. But joy doesn’t always look like happiness—and that doesn’t make it any less real.
Joy is something I’ve come to understand differently this year. It isn’t loud or constant. Sometimes it’s quiet, sometimes hard-won—but it’s there. And it’s something we get to choose, even in the midst of everything else.

To my couples who trusted me in 2025: thank you. Your weddings brought so much light into my life. Watching families reconnect, seeing friends reunited, and witnessing love in its truest form has been an incredible gift.

And to my couples heading into 2026—I can’t wait. I’m honored to stand beside you as you walk down the aisle, as you remember those who couldn’t be there,
and as you step into a new chapter surrounded by love.

Home is where the heart is

and that’s why Kaitlyn and Justin chose to spend their wedding morning at her grandparents’ private home on the Deschutes River in Bend.
Kaitlyn grew up visiting this property year after year, so beginning her day here, with her grandma and closest friends helping her get ready, felt effortless and meaningful.
The water was calm, the sky a clear blue, and the whole morning held a quiet sweetness as she saw her husband for the first time on the land that shaped so many of her memories.
