Get In Touch
I love shooting destination weddings and elopements! This is why I jumped at the opportunity to photograph this Hatcher’s Pass Wedding. When childhood friends, Rakhil and Alex fell in love about a year ago and knew they wanted a wedding to remember. With so many spectacular locations to choose from, these Alaskan Natives chose one of the best views in the Anchorage area.
As an Oregon wedding photographer, I get to see so many stunning wedding destinations, but I was truly blown away by Hatcher’s Pass. Not to mention all the perfectly planned details that went into this epic destination wedding. Rakhil, Alex, and all of their guests enjoyed an amazing glamping experience, followed by a seaplane exit!
Planning your destination, wedding, or elopement?
In addition to checking out my post Questions to ask your Wedding, Photographer. When planning for your own destination wedding, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Check accessibility! Some locations like Hatcher’s Pass are only accessible part of the year or require special permits.
- Plan ahead! Make sure all your guests’ and vendors’ needs are accounted for. Extra touches like Rakhil and Alex’s glamping experience make for a meaningful memory for both you and your guests.
- Arrive 2 hours before sunset. This will ensure you have the best lighting for photos.
- Use an all wheel drive vehicle, the weather is often unpredictable and changes hour to hour.
