DeSoto Rooftop Terrace Wedding

Ryan and Diem’s luxurious multi-cultural wedding began in the tranquil heart of The Grotto later ended under the stars at the DeSoto Rooftop Terrace.

The Ceremony

Portlanders may be familiar with The Grotto’s botanical garden, and the solace one can find walking through the winding paths or sitting in the outdoor sanctuary of The Grotto’s lower level, however, if you are a bride looking for a one of a kind venue take a moment to ride the elevator to the Upper Level and make your way down to St. Anne’s Chapel. Featuring several pastel paintings, I could not imagine a more perfect backdrop for Ryan and Diem’s intimate ceremony. Here along the winding forest path to the chapel, the couple shared quiet moments, during an intimate private vow exchange. Diem’s timeless, and modern bridal gown was the picture of sophistication against the natural beauty of The Grotto.

The Reception

Following their intimate ceremony and bridal session at The Grotto, the couple headed over to the DeSoto Rooftop Terrace. Featuring breathtaking views of the Portland Skyline DeSoto works with vendors like the Art of Catering PDX, Botanical Florals, and so many others to help ensure a tailored, luxury experience for every couple. As a luxury bridal photographer, I pride myself on paying attention to the smallest details for my couples; everywhere I turned Ryan and Diem’s love story was told through the special attention to detail the couple and their vendors curated together.

Diem and her bridal party swapped into their reception attire and hit the dance floor thanks to DJ Nicky. The dance floor was never empty, featuring specially choreographed performances from both the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. Once the lights went down DeSoto Rooftop Terrace lit up with soft outdoor lights, and the couple danced the night away with their family and friends.
